We packed up for the weekend and traveled to Mic's parents' home in Durham, NC. This was the first time Laney would meet her Great-Grandma Bernard & Grandell. We had a wonderful meal cooked by Miss Jackie on Friday evening & then Saturday brought good food, lots of relatives, but most of all...good times shared with the ones we love. Laney's Uncle Rick was in from Chesapeake, VA, along with aunt's and uncle's from Franklinton, NC, and the Bernard's neighbor Doris even came to visit. But the most special of them all, was her meeting her great-grandmother's! Wow! 
These days that doesn't happen very often, but we're blessed that it has. We took lots of pictures, shared lots of stories and ate, and ate, and ate! By the time Sunday rolled around, we felt like we needed to be rolled to our cars. We had a fabulous weekend and spent lots of time with the people that mean the most. Everyone enjoyed Laney's company...I think she enjoyed them too!
