Off to the pumpkin patch we go....

Recently, we traveled with some friends to the pumpkin patch! The weather is so nice here & the day we went couldn't have been more perfect! Laney was adorable as ever & was taking in every person and pumpkin as we went throughout the day! We started off by taking a hay ride around the property at Aw Shucks! She posed for a few pictures, but was more interested in eating her teething ring...go figure!

We then drifted to the animal barn where Laney absolutely loved the stinky 'ol pigs!! Ha! She was making Mic & I laugh so hard....she just wanted to touch them!! Between wanting to touch the pigs & the goats, Mic & I had our hands full! We saw sheep, rabbits, pigs, goats and chickens!

Lastly, we made our way to pick out a pumpkin! Laney loved the "pumpkin house" (this make-shift house made out of pumpkins). It was too cute! She decided on one that was about her size & off we went! We took lots of pictures, hung out with great friends & had a fantastic lunch! (Mic found this great hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint...yummy!!!)

To continue, we got the pleasure of spending a few hours with mommy's dear friend Lisa! (We hope she's Laney's pediatrician one day!) We got to visit with her & her sweet family & catch up on life & our adventures thus far with the little one! Finally, our busy day ended up with a delicious dinner at Mimi & Ronnie's house! They love visiting with Laney as much as we love visiting with them! (Laney even spent the entire weekend at their house the next weekend!! She had a blast!)

In all, we were so exhausted at the end of the night, but shared lots of laughs & smiles and made great memories! Going to the pumpkin patch will definitely be a tradition the Bernard's continue for years to come! Laney, you'll always be our "Little Pumpkin"!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!

Last weekend, Laney & I hurried off to the beach for a fabulous girls weekend! The weather couldn't have been more perfect! We left the nasty rain to welcome only sunshine!! Four of my aunts (from my dad's side), my sister and cousin Nicole made the trip. This was the first time three of my aunts would meet Laney...and boy, was it a sight!! We relaxed at the house, went out to dinner, did lots of shopping and of course, went to the beach! Laney was the recipient of many hugs, cheek pinches, kisses, and smiles! She rode in the stroller around the neighborhood and even got to go to the park (she heard they had swings)!! We had an extremely busy weekend, so needless to say, she was exhausted by the time it came to head home, but we had a great time! Thanks for a wonderful weekend girls! We can't wait to do it again soon!

Visiting great-grandparents

While on our way to the beach, Laney & I stopped off at Great-Grandpa & Great-Grandma Mullis' house for a quick visit. They had a wonderful time "oohing" and "aahhing" over how big Laney has gotten since the last time they had seen her, and yes, she's defintitely growing! To no surprise, she was as happy as she could be while we were there. She kept staring at Papa, trying to figure out who he was! She was so funny! Hopefully, it won't be too long before they can see, love and kiss on her once again!
