17 months old!

This month Laney turned 17 months old!! Wow! Lot's to catch you guys up on! We started back to school & Laney is loving every minute of it! (Although she was NOT excited when we woke her up on the 1st day of school!) She squeals w/ excitement when we drop her off & cries when it's time to pick her up to come home! Ms. Sherri convinced me to buy her a play kitchen, since that's her favorite toy to play with when she's there!! Perfect Christmas gift! She loves to help out in the real kitchen & is amazed by the oven! "Hot!" she says. She'll look into the oven window (we turn the light on so she can see what's inside) & says, "Mmm!". It's so adorable!!

Her new favorite game is to open the pantry door & hide inside. She'll stand in there (in the dark) as quiet as she can be - just waiting for you to come find her! Then she just laughs!!! She loves to find something she can eat - always!!

We ventured to the annual Greek Festival a few weeks ago - Laney had a blast!! Well, she mostly loved the cucumber sauce!! She was even dipping her Cheerios in it - it was everywhere, but she was a happy girl!

We have a new (well new to us, thanks to Lisa & Lyn) swing set in the backyard that she loves to swing in! "Ouswide" is one of her favorite things!!! Now that the weather is beginning to cool down, I hope we're able to spend lots of time outside!

Lastly, we've discovered the race car grocery carts & boy are they something else! Although hard to maneuver, they make for a happy Laney while grocery shopping! She even wants to help mommy wipe it down before "riding" around!

We'll head back to the doctor next month for our 18 month checkup, but for now - we have a happy, healthy little tot running around! 31 1/2" tall I might add!!
